As a part of efforts to improve multicloud environments, companies are leaning aggressively into the supercloud trend, accelerating the intensity within specific sectors. Organizations investing in the supercloud, such as Microsoft Corp., Zscaler Inc., CloudFlare Inc. and VMware Inc., are extending their positions and aiming to get even stronger, according to Johal.

“We talked to Doug Merritt [Aviatrix CEO] about how the granularity is actually going to get greater and the focus is going to get greater,” Vellante said. “The other piece of that is, I don’t think they know yet what to do with generative AI … it’s good, it’s amazing, but it gives you different answers every time. How do they apply that in security and other areas? They’re still trying to figure that out. So, there’s a lot of opportunities.”

Operationalizing supercloud: Navigating data-fusion and accuracy challenges

Operationalizing the supercloud involves addressing challenges related to data fusion and accuracy. The success of AI implementations depends heavily on the quality and architecture of the data being utilized, according to Johal.

The role of prompters in managing the probabilistic nature of generative AI models and ensuring accuracy and consistency in operations is also evolving.

The adoption of multicloud environments and the operationalization of supercloud technologies remain critical considerations for organizations aiming to stay competitive in this rapidly evolving landscape. By leveraging domain-specific large language models, ensuring accurate data fusion and addressing data-related challenges, businesses can unlock the full potential of the supercloud and drive innovation in security and AI, according to Johal.

“I think supercloud momentum is that we have to make the multicloud work. And to make that work, we need another abstraction layer. That’s why we see the rise of companies like Cloudflare and Snowflake,” Johal said. “All these companies are built on top of cloud. And now the cloud providers are having second thoughts about should we play in that.”
